A Howlin’ Good Time

FAQs

A: A Howlin’ Good Time requires proof of a current vaccination record from your veterinarian for participation in the Doggie Day Care Program. We require that all dogs be current on their vaccines, including:

  • Rabies
  • DHLP or DHP
  • Bordetella

If older than 6 months, A Howlin’ Good Time requires all dogs to be spayed or neutered. On a case-by-case basis, exemptions can be made if conditions do not allow for this procedure.

A: For your dog’s safety, A Howlin’ Good Time requires all dogs to enter and exit the facility on a non retractable leash and a collar they cannot back out of.

A: We accept cash, credit cards, and personal checks.

A: Reservations are not necessary but appreciated.

A: It’s always a good idea to feed your dog before drop-off when needed! If your pup needs to eat more than 2 meals a day or needs additional meals for medical reasons, A Howlin’ Good Time is happy to provide additional feed as needed.

  • You will need to provide your dog’s own food in an airtight container with a secure lid and marked with his/her name, the amount and time(s) of feeding.

A: Ensuring our pups have everything they need to thrive is one of our most important goals! A Howlin’ Good Time will administer medication or shots (such as insulin, etc.) if necessary. There is no extra charge for this service. Feel free to inquire further with our staff regarding this matter.

  • All owners must fill out an ADMISSION QUESTIONNAIRE
  • All owners must sign the TERMS AND CONDITIONS AGREEMENT for each dog they enroll in A Howlin’ Good Time’s Day Care Program.

These documents will be kept on file. Each pup family is expected to update our records with current shot records or any change regarding their dog’s health or temperament. This is necessary to provide the staff with up-to-date information regarding your dog.

A: All dogs who come to play at A Howlin’ Good Time must be both people- and dog-friendly. We know that dogs behave differently when off leash and away from their human partners. While we strive to offer an equal opportunity for all dogs to have A Howlin’ Good Time, due to the communal nature of our facility, our insurance carrier prohibits us from accepting the breed referred to as Pit Bulls.

NEGATIVE BEHAVIOR:

Although we offer an opportunity for most dogs to participate in our Day Care Program, occasionally we discover that this is not an appropriate environment for a certain dog. A Howlin’ Good Time reserves the right to remove a dog from Day Care at any time if we feel that dog is a liability to other dogs at the facility, or to our employees.

A: While your dog is at A Howlin’ Good Time’s Day Care Program, they will participate in both indoor and outdoor play groups in our secure outdoor environment. During our quiet indoor time, dogs are encouraged to relax and catch a nap.

Please understand that this is a different environment than their home! When dogs are home during the day, they sleep. Although we do provide quiet time, not all dogs will take a solid nap. They may go home at the end of the day and seem tired and lethargic. This does not mean they are sick – it almost certainly means that they had an eventful day with their doggie friends and are ready to call it a night!

Howlin’ Reviews

I have been using A Howlin’ Good Time for many years with all my dogs. My dogs love it there. Best place around. I drive my dogs 45 minutes just so they can stay there when we go out of town. I don’t trust anyone else with my dogs. Thanks!

Louie loves it!! They take excellent care of her and getting to see her pic online while we were gone really helped reduce our “separation anxiety”

The areas the dogs are in is clean and open. They have couches and chairs for them to get comfy and feel at home. And they post pics and videos often so you can see what its like for the fur babies!
